Type Anatomy:

For this project, I chose to create a poster of the anatomy of type. My given perimeters are the poster must be 11” x 17”; it must be grey scale; I must create it in Adobe Illustrator; I may not distort the type such as skewing, shadowing, or applying art filters; I can use only simple shapes to support the theme, and it must be suited for an elementary classroom. To make the poster interesting, educational, and entertaining to the younger crowd, I chose a carnival theme. I mean who doesn’t like a good roller coaster and a ferris wheel, right? I included the following type characteristics: ascender, descender, hairline stroke, stem stroke, arm, leg, bowl, counter, serif, spine, apex, vertex, ear, link, loop, spur, and cross bar.
